James Webb telescope - first images released
Last week, NASA released five images to the public taken by the James Webb telescope, which means the complex deployment mentioned in earlier posts was successfull! As the telescope takes pictures in the infrared spectrum, we as humans would not see anything when looking at the original images taken by the telescope. Thus, an imaging team adjusts the wavelengths in such a way that it maps to our visisble light (RGB) spectrum, more details here.
